Families are required to attend an orientation before volunteering in the classroom. The training is at 4:15 and lasts approximately 30 min. We do ask that you RSVP so we know how many are going to be in attendance. Thank you!

General Volunteer Information:
Aspen Academy values the skills, interests, and talents that parent volunteers bring to our school. During our opening year we had parents help install cabinetry, talk to students about their job or heritage, create bulletin boards, scan materials for the Smart Boards, assist on field trips, shop for teachers, sew, supervise the lunchroom, and a variety of other activities that made the school a wonderful place for the students.
We ask families to commit to 40 hours of volunteer time over the course of the school year--and this can be fulfilled by any member of the family. We even have grandparents help at the school which is extra special for our students! In order to ensure the safety of all students, we require either an orientation training for all adults working with our students. Orientation trainings are offered at several times in the fall, but become less frequent as the year progresses so we encourage family members to attend early. This way, when that exciting field trip comes up, you're ready to volunteer! Please see the calendar of events for the volunteer orientation dates.
