Welcome to 1st grade! Your student will be learning many new and exciting things this year. We will build upon your child's prior knowledge to help them grasp concepts in greater depth.
This is my first year at Aspen Academy. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in History and Sociology from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse before pursuing a degree in Elementary Education from Augsburg College. Prior to Aspen, I worked as a Kindergarten Teacher in Stewartville, MN and as a paraprofessional.
We will continue learning about folktales and fables. Our next Social Studies unit is on the Early Explorers of the Americas, such as Christopher Columbus.
