Why I choose to work at Aspen Academy: I am passionate about education and Aspen allows me to use that passion to benefit each and every student in our building. I love the individualization for the education and the Core Knowledge curriculum which allows us to reach each child and engage them in the learning process. Aspen also values my expertise and knowledge and that means I am an important part of their team.
Hobbies/interests: I am a prolific reader and spend a lot of spare time exploring new pieces of literature. I also sew and craft and work towards decorating my house so that it reflects my personal style which means lots of DIY projects.
Favorite author/historical figure: My favorite author is Kevin Henkes. I love his books for his delightful characters that students and adults can identify with.
Personal motto/inspirational quote: While we teach our children about life, our children teach us what life is all about.
