Founders

Aspen Academy was founded by a group of parents and community members of the Prior Lake/Savage area who wanted to provide an academically rigorous education option in the Southwest Suburbs. Our goal is to provide an educational experience where class sizes remain small (20-22), parent involvement is high, and all students are encouraged to excel.

Who Can Attend Aspen Academy?

Aspen Academy has received a K-8 Charter from the Minnesota Department of Education. Aspen is open to all students regardless of the district in which they live. Aspen Academy opened its doors September 2008. We currently have two classrooms each at grades K-3 and one at grade 4.  We will expand with one more grade each year until we reach 8th grade.   Aspen Academy offers sibling preference, so if an older sibling is enrolled, a younger sibling will have registration preference before new families are accepted at Aspen.  Please see "Enrollment" for more information.
