This is my fourth year at Aspen Academy and I am thrilled with the direction the music program is moving. The music curriculum follows the Core Knowledge standards, which can be found on their website. In the Core Knowledge music classroom, students learn about famous composers, listen to important compositions, study music theory and sing a range of well-known songs. In 4th grade, students work on recorders and can sign up to be in band starting in 5th grade. My hope is to encourage creativity and a love for music at Aspen Academy.
