Educational History: I
did my undergrad at the University of Minnesota-Morris and graduated in
2002. I majored in instrumental and choral education with alto
saxophone and voice being my specialties. Currently, I am working on my
Master's in Education at Hamline University.
Why I choose to work at Aspen Academy:
I had previously taught at another Core Knowledge school and was
impressed with the curriculum and was excited to hear Aspen was using it
as well. I also believed that a start-up charter school would be full
of energy and I wanted to be part of a positive influential team.
Hobbies/interests: I enjoy playing instruments, listening to music, reading and creative writing.
Favorite author/historical figure:
My favorite author is Tracey Chevalier because she writes historical
fiction on actual paintings, which helps me look at art in an unique
way. My favorite historical figure is Queen Elizabeth as I find her
story fascinating.
